  • You have 14 days prior to your check-in to cancel for a full refund minus a $10.00 processing fee per reservation. You can switch your dates at any point without penalty.

    ***No refunds are issued for weather, early check out or if you are asked to leave.

  • Check-in is at 1:00 PM for tent and RV sites, and 3:00 PM for all rentals. Check-out is at 11:00 AM for all accommodations.

  • Our reception and general store are open Sunday - Friday 9-5pm, any booking checking in after hours will have their site map and camp information posted in an envelope on the bulletin board outside reception

  • Yes, we have WIFI throughout most of the campground.

  • The nearest sandy beach to Cedar Haven Family Campground is Winslow Memorial Park which is 5.9 miles South of Cedar Haven and approx 12-15min by car.

  • Cedar Haven Family Campground is the nearest campground to downtown Freeport, conveniently located just 2.5 miles away.

  • We want all of our guests to enjoy their stay, so we kindly enforce quiet hours starting at 10:00 PM to ensure a peaceful environment for everyone.

  • Yes! Dogs are welcome on all campsites, including tent and RV sites. However, dogs are not permitted in our cabins or RV rentals.

    We also offer a complimentary dog wash station and water stations throughout the campground to help keep your furry friends clean and hydrated. Dogs must be leashed and attended at all times.

    Please Note: Each site allows up to two dogs at no extra charge; additional dogs are $5 per day.

  • Firewood and ice are available for purchase at our General Store. We offer kiln-dried Maine firewood, and our ice is made on-site for your convenience.

  • We operate on an honor system after hours and on Saturdays. Payments can be deposited in the clearly marked black box located next to the ice machine.

  • Reservations must be made by a guest who is 21 years of age or older.

    We also require that a guest 21 years of age or older be present at the campsite at all times when children are on site.

  • Yes, we offer newly updated laundry facilities that are both heated and air conditioned for your comfort. The facility includes large washers and dryers. Please note, all machines are coin operated.

  • Our dumpsters are located toward the back of the campground, just past the pickleball courts.

  • Yes! New for 2026, we’re excited to offer two brand-new pickleball courts for our guests to enjoy. Paddles and balls are available at reception, so you can easily jump in and play during your stay.

  • Yes! We offer a variety of fun, family-friendly activities for children, including a tots playhouse, a kids’ half basketball court, a gemstone mining sluice, a playground, and a selection of toys. We also have a heated / airconditioned game room for guests to enjoy.

  • Yes, we offer a swimming pond for guests to enjoy on the campground. Life jackets are required and are available in the large container on the deck. For your convenience, kayaks and paddles are also available for guest use. For safety, children 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

  • Each site features a fireplace and picnic table, with either an Amish made swing set or hand carved pine chair.

  • To help ensure a comfortable experience for all guests, pets are not permitted in our cabin and rv rentals. Dogs are welcome, however, on RV and tent sites.

  • Yes, our cabins and RV rentals vary in kitchen amenities:

    • Cabins Snowflake & Rainy Weather – No kitchen, but include a small fridge and microwave

    • Retro RV & Terry RV – Small kitchens with a small fridge and microwave

    • Cabin 45 – Full kitchen plus a full size fridge and microwave

  • Yes, all our cabins and RV’s feature heating / air conditioning for your comfort.

  • Most of our cabins and RV rentals, including Snowflake, Rainy Weather, Retro RV, and Terry RV, do not include linens. However, linen (bedding) can be purchased at reception for $25.

    Cabin 45 is the exception and includes all linens, including bedding and towels.

  • Our cabins and rv rentals are not wheel chair accessible as this time.
